- You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
- You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed this agreement.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Service Description
Teratai AI provides structured online AI development programmes for learners at different stages of their journey. The Service includes:
- Access to structured curriculum content and recorded materials for the duration of each programme.
- Weekly clinic sessions (live Q&A) for applicable programmes.
- Cohort-based peer channels and communication spaces.
- Project feedback from instructors or programme leads.
- A completion record where the learner meets programme requirements.
We offer three programmes at present: AI Foundations (6 weeks), Machine Learning Track (10 weeks), and Deep Learning Network (13 weeks). Programme schedules, intake dates, and specific delivery details are communicated separately at the time of enrolment.
The Service is delivered in English and is primarily intended for learners based in Malaysia, though it is accessible internationally. Geographic restrictions do not generally apply to the online content, though certain integrations may vary by region.
4. User Accounts
Access to course materials is provided through the Teratai AI learning environment. When you enrol:
- You will receive login credentials via the email address provided during enrolment.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and not sharing them with others.
- Each set of credentials is for a single learner only. Sharing access is not permitted and may result in removal from the programme without refund.
- You should notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or close an account where there is evidence of misuse, a breach of these terms, or at the learner's own request.
5. User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Engage with the platform and materials in good faith and in a way that is respectful to other learners and the team.
- Submit only original work in projects and assessments.
- Not copy, distribute, or reproduce programme content outside of the platform without written permission.
- Not attempt to access systems, accounts, or data that are not assigned to you.
- Not use the platform to promote unrelated services, spam other participants, or engage in any commercial activity not authorised by Teratai AI.
- Not post content in peer channels that is harmful, misleading, discriminatory, or in violation of Malaysian law.
Breach of these responsibilities may result in removal from the programme, cancellation of access, and in serious cases, reporting to the relevant authorities in accordance with Malaysian law.
6. Intellectual Property
All content made available through the Service — including lesson materials, recorded sessions, exercises, templates, and assessments — is the intellectual property of Teratai AI and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international copyright law.
Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use programme content for the purpose of your own learning during the programme period. This licence does not include the right to:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publish any content for commercial or public purposes.
- Share access credentials or course materials with third parties.
- Create derivative works based on programme content without written consent.
Where you submit project work as part of a programme, you retain ownership of your original work. By submitting, you grant Teratai AI a non-exclusive right to use your project as an anonymised example for programme improvement or illustrative purposes, unless you object in writing.
7. Payment Terms
Programme fees are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are as follows at the time of this version:
- AI Foundations (6 weeks): RM 980
- Machine Learning Track (10 weeks): RM 1,400
- Deep Learning Network (13 weeks): RM 1,850
All fees are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in full prior to cohort commencement. We accept payment via the methods communicated during the enrolment process.
Refund policy: A full refund is available if a cancellation request is received more than 7 calendar days before the cohort start date. Requests received within 7 days of the start date, or after the cohort has begun, are not eligible for a refund unless there are exceptional circumstances, which we review on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected].
If a cohort is cancelled by Teratai AI before it begins, enrolled learners will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to the next available cohort.
8. Enrolment & Course Terms
Enrolment in a programme is subject to the following conditions:
- Availability: Places in each cohort are limited. Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
- Prerequisites: Some programmes assume prior familiarity with certain concepts. Prerequisites are described in the programme listing. Teratai AI is not responsible for a learner's experience where stated prerequisites have not been met.
- Attendance and participation: Learners are encouraged to attend live sessions where scheduled. Recordings are provided for learners who miss a session, where technically possible.
- Completion record: A completion record is issued where the learner submits the required project(s) and meets the criteria communicated at the start of the programme. We do not issue formal academic certificates, and the completion record is not equivalent to a degree or accredited qualification.
- Academic integrity: Submissions must be the learner's own work. Where external resources are used, they should be acknowledged. Submitting work that is entirely generated by automated tools without meaningful personal contribution is not in the spirit of the programme and may result in the completion record being withheld.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided in good faith and on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- We do not warrant that the website will be available at all times or free from technical errors.
- We do not make any claim about specific outcomes, employment prospects, salary changes, or career advancement that may result from completing a programme.
- Programme content reflects current knowledge and practice at the time of preparation. The field of AI and machine learning evolves quickly, and some content may become dated over time.
- Nothing in the Service constitutes professional advice in any regulated field (legal, financial, medical, etc.).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Teratai AI's total liability to you in connection with these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the programme in question.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of income, or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Teratai AI, its staff, and affiliated persons harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Your misuse of the Service or its content.
- Any content you submit through the platform that infringes a third party's rights.
12. Termination
Either party may end the arrangement described in these terms:
- By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. Refund eligibility is governed by Section 7.
- By us: We may suspend or remove your access if you breach these terms, engage in conduct that harms other learners, or for reasons of safety. We will aim to give notice where possible, except where immediate action is necessary.
On termination, your licence to access content ceases. Provisions that by nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property (Section 6), Limitation of Liability (Section 10), and Dispute Resolution (Section 13) — remain in effect.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or related to this agreement shall first be referred to us informally by contacting [email protected]. We will aim to acknowledge your concern within 5 business days and work towards a reasonable resolution.
If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, the matter may be referred to the courts of Malaysia, which shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
Relevant Malaysian legislation applicable to consumers includes the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and the Contracts Act 1950.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, represent the complete agreement between you and Teratai AI regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any clause of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in effect.
- Waiver: Failure by either party to enforce a clause does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this agreement to another person. We may assign ours in connection with a business transfer or restructuring, with reasonable notice.
- Notices: Notices to you will be sent to the email address you provided at enrolment. Notices to us should be sent to [email protected].
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled learners by email and post the updated version on our website with a new "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept the revised terms, please discontinue use of the Service and contact us about your enrolment.
